ThinkPad T520
The ThinkPad T520 is a portable business-class notebook that is designed to be a powerhouse computing solution. It is compact in design and has good performance computing capabilities. The ThinkPad T Series includes systems that have either a 14.0" display or a 15.6" display. ThinkPad T520 laptops have 15.6" screens. Introduced to the world around mid-March of 2011, the ThinkPad T520 is designed to replace the ThinkPad T510. Some significant changes accompany this replacement model, most notably in performance. Users can expect to see more performance from the ThinkPad T520 because it now uses Intel's second generation of Core Series processors. These processors, dubbed Sandy Bridge CPUs, offer faster computing performances as well as more efficient battery conservation. Graphics has been improved as well. A new hybrid graphics solution powers the ThinkPad T520. It includes a new and upgraded integrated controller from Intel and a discrete controller from NVIDIA. With this system, the laptop can switch back and forth depending on the need. When the laptop does not require as much graphics performances, it switches to the integrated solution for better battery conservation. However, when graphic intensive applications are running, the ThinkPad T520 switches to the discrete controller for more power. |
