IdeaPad U450p is a stylish laptop designed for the mainstream consumer. It is thin and light in design, and has been engineered with a focus on providing users with a portable entertainment notebook computing solution.

Lenovo's U Series is a line of ultraportable notebooks. The IdeaPad U450p is one of the larger ultraportable laptops in this series. This is probably attributed to its 14" widescreen display, which is larger than the 11.6" and 13.3" laptop offerings in the USeries. This display however, does have its highlights. It supports high-definition content and it's LED backlit.

The U450p runs on an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. The processor used is a special ULV processor that runs on low voltage which conserves battery life. This processor also allows the U450p to have a slim profile. The laptop measure about 1" thin and it weighs only 4.6 lbs.

Graphics on the IdeaPad U450p is powered by a discrete graphics solution provided by ATI. The ATI Mobile Radeon HD 4200 comes with 512MB VRAM. This helps with graphics rendering and should provide adequate power for videos and gaming.
